Submission for Mini Jam 195: Forge

Limitation: Everything is a weapon.

Game: Caldera

Controls for keyboard:

Z = A (Jump/Interact/Shoot)

X = B (Move a little faster in level 1)

Enter = Start (Advance screen on Title/End screens)

Arrow Keys = Up, Down, Left, Right. (Move left and right)

Mobile playable. 

Premise: An extraterrestrial spacecraft invades a planet during a medieval-ish age and wipe out a number of soldiers with their advanced space technology. The spirits of the fallen soldiers animate their weapons as they all rush into the heart of an active volcano on the verge of erupting. The spectral weapons mold together into a mass of magma and metal as they attempt to strike back at a seemingly invincible foe. 

The first level is like a platformer and the second level is like an arcade shooter style thing. 

This is the first game jam I've done in a while and I was determined to get something submitted so I focused on keeping the scope very tiny and just executing one of the first ideas that came to mind.
